Start at the Crown Street Mall where the weekly farmers market operates every Saturday from 7am, then head two blocks east to Keira Street for coffee at a corner spot before catching the 55 bus north.

The route passes North Wollongong Beach, where parking fills by 10am on weekends, and connects directly to the Wollongong Botanic Garden entrance on Murphys Avenue.

Routes that fit a half-day window

Bus timetables show the 55 service leaves Crown Street at 8:45am and arrives at the garden gates by 9:20am, giving visitors three hours before the next return trip at 12:30pm.
